This book has had the biggest impact on me personally, after struggling with my faith and exploring, religions such as christianity, islam and buddism and finding no resolve. It was this book that restored an amount of my faith. Whilst the exploration of faith and religion is not the primary focus of this title. The book does explore the power of belief and how our thoughts and faith can influence our lives. It encourages readers to have faith in their desires and the universe's abilitiy to provide. It sheds light on the value of having a positive mindset and focuses on the law of attraction as a framework. It explores how our thoughts and beliefs can shape our reality and how we can manifest our desires. It offers practicale adivice and techniques to create a successful and fulfilling life. A great resource for anyone interested in personal growth and development. It gives you faith, not in the form of a distant otherworldly god but in yourself.

Meditations, Marcus Aurelius.jpg

Marcus Aurelius, What a revolutionary thinker. As a practitioner of stoicism, His attitude not just as a leader but towards the natural stresses of life can provide such a freeing perspective. That suffering, disaster, and failure are common occurrences and form part of the natural experience of life. You may not find this the easiest read as this is a personal diary and was not necessarily written for mass consumption. But the thoughts expressed in this book offer a great guideline for self-discipline and are helpful for achieving a more zen mindset. for a quick insight into the book click here

David Goggins is known for being a tough mother f""ker. But with all that he has accomplished and all the success he has gained it can be easy toi forget that at the end of the day he's just a man. He still has troubles and still feels fear, pain and discomfort. This book is a peak behind the curtain and really shows us his human side. I highly reccomend getting the audible version of this book as it is interwoven with his own podcast style commentary giving extra advice and analysis over his writings.

12 Rules for Life, Jordan B Peterson.webp

This book presents straightforward fixes and ways of thinking to help better your life. The rules seem so simple yet the impact of following them can lead you to live a more confident, self-assured, and fulfilling life. I wouldn't go as far as to say that the rules presented in this book are all you need but they are interesting points to consider to help better your life. Peterson uses plenty of analyses to back up his rules and shares personal stories to help expand on the points he makes. Hearing an experienced psychologist's suggestions for self-improvement makes for an interesting read but if you just want to hear the basic rules, click here.

We all live a life only ever seeing the world through our own eyes, hearing through our own ears and living in our own shoes, Which is why it can be easy to become cynical when faced with challenges and difficulties. This is a good reason to invest your time and read stories from people who have been in difficult situations and have risen above their difficult circumstances. An inspiring autobiography can allow the weight of your own hardships to feel a little lighter.
